TBA-354(Cat No.:I001031)is a nitroimidazole derivative developed as a potent anti-tuberculosis agent. It demonstrated significant in vitro and in vivo activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, including drug-resistant strains. TBA-354 exhibited higher potency than its predecessor, PA-824, and maintained efficacy against both replicating and non-replicating bacterial forms. However, during clinical trials, concerns arose regarding potential neurotoxicity, leading to the discontinuation of its development. Despite this setback, TBA-354’s profile has provided valuable insights for future tuberculosis drug research.
