Teriflunomide(Cat No.:I002123), also known as A77 1726, is the active metabolite of leflunomide and is used in the research and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), a key enzyme involved in pyrimidine synthesis. By blocking pyrimidine synthesis, teriflunomide reduces the proliferation of T-cells and B-cells, which are involved in the inflammatory response seen in rheumatoid arthritis.
