Topilutamide (CAT: I013515) is a topical nonsteroidal antiandrogen (NSAA). It is used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, a condition characterized by hair loss due to hormonal factors. As an antiandrogen, topilutamide works by blocking the binding of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to androgen receptors in the hair follicles. By inhibiting the action of DHT, topilutamide helps to prevent further hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Topilutamide is specifically formulated for topical application, allowing for targeted delivery to the scalp. It is considered a promising option for the management of androgenetic alopecia
