UCSF686 dihydrochloride is a control probe for the 5-HT5A receptor partial agonist UCSF678 (Axon 3636). UCSF686 is devoid of 5-HT5A receptor activity, but shows affinity at the 5-HT1A, 5-HT2B, and 5-HT7 receptor subtypes. Its inactive control probe UCSF648 is available as Axon 3634.
