UNC3866 (CAT: I002422) is a potent antagonist that targets the CBX7-H3 interaction. It has been determined through AlphaScreen analysis to have an IC50 value of 66±1.2 nM. UNC3866 demonstrates high selectivity for CBX7 over other members of the methyl-lysine (Kme) reader panel, with more than 100-fold selectivity observed. CBX7 is a protein involved in recognizing and binding to specific methylated lysine residues, playing a role in chromatin regulation and gene expression. UNC3866’s ability to selectively disrupt the CBX7-H3 interaction offers potential applications in epigenetic research and the development of therapies targeting CBX7-related processes.
