Vinpocetine(Cat No.:I003535), also known as Cavinton or Ethyl apovincaminate, is a compound that exhibits selective inhibition of phosphodiesterase 1 (PDE1) with an IC50 value of 21 μM. PDE1 is an enzyme that regulates intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). By inhibiting PDE1, vinpocetine can increase levels of cAMP and cGMP, which can have various effects on cellular signaling and neurotransmission. Additionally, vinpocetine has the ability to block voltage-gated sodium (Na+) channels, which can further contribute to its pharmacological actions.
