WU-04 (Cat No.: I040696) is a potent, non-covalent small-molecule inhibitor targeting the 3CLpro (main protease) of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. It blocks viral replication by binding to the active site of the protease, preventing cleavage of viral polyproteins essential for replication. Unlike covalent inhibitors, WU-04 offers reversible binding with high specificity and strong antiviral activity in vitro. It is used in antiviral drug research as a promising lead compound for developing next-generation COVID-19 therapeutics with improved safety and resistance profiles.
