WYC-209 (Cat No.:I019016) is a synthetic retinoid and a potent agonist of retinoic acid receptors (RARs). It exhibits pharmacological activity by inducing apoptosis primarily through the caspase 3 pathway. WYC-209 demonstrates significant inhibitory effects on the growth of tumor cells, including malignant murine melanoma TRCs (tumor-repopulating cells), with an IC50 of 0.19 μM. Moreover, WYC-209 has long-term effects with minimal toxicity. In experimental models, WYC-209 has shown the ability to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis, making it a promising candidate for the development of anticancer therapies. In animal studies, WYC-209 administration effectively inhibits tumor metastasis in mice bearing lung metastases. These findings highlight the potential of WYC-209 as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancer.
