ZZW-115 hydrochloride (CAT: I009677) is a potent inhibitor of the protein NUPR1, with a Kd (dissociation constant) of 2.1 μM. It has demonstrated anticancer activity by inducing tumor cell death through necroptosis and apoptosis. In various cancer cell lines, ZZW-115 hydrochloride effectively kills cancer cells with IC50 values ranging from 0.84 μM to 7.75 μM. Treatment with ZZW-115 hydrochloride leads to decreased ATP production, increased ROS (reactive oxygen species) generation, and activation of caspase 3/7, indicating both necrotic and apoptotic effects. In vivo, studies have shown that ZZW-115 hydrochloride inhibits the growth of pancreatic xenografted tumors and significantly reduces tumor size.
