Recombinant Human Low Affinity Immunoglobulin Gamma Fc Region Receptor Iii-A (FCGR3A) Protein (His), Active
This receptor binds the invariable Fc fragment of immunoglobulin gamma (IgG) and is optimally activated upon the binding of clustered antigen-IgG complexes on cell surfaces, triggering antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It does not bind free monomeric IgG, preventing inappropriate activation of effector cells in the absence of an antigenic trigger. It mediates IgG effector functions on natural killer (NK) cells, stimulating cytokine production and degranulation to reduce viral load during infection. Additionally, it contributes to the generation of memory-like NK cells capable of producing IFNG and efficiently eliminating virus-infected cells via ADCC. It also regulates NK cell survival and proliferation.
