Recombinant Human Raf Proto-Oncogene Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase (RAF1) Protein (His-SUMO)
RAF1 is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as a key regulatory link between Ras GTPases and the MAPK/ERK cascade, influencing cell fate decisions such as proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, survival, and oncogenic transformation. It activates a MAPK cascade involving MAP2K1/MEK1, MAP2K2/MEK2, MAPK3/ERK1, and MAPK1/ERK2. RAF1 phosphorylates BAD/Bcl2-antagonist of cell death, adenylyl cyclases, PPP1R12A, and TNNT2. It regulates NF-kB activation, Rho signaling, and migration, and plays a role in wound healing and oncogenic transformation by modulating occludin and SNAI2/SLUG. RAF1 also protects against apoptosis and restricts caspase activation.
